Station Seven - He Falls for the Second Time

As we continue our journey through the Stations of the Cross on Shalom World Podcasts, we reflect on the Seventh Station, where Jesus falls the second time while bearing the weight of the Cross. It wasn't the physical burden of the Cross that caused His fall, but rather the weight of our sins. In Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, we witness the fulfillment of prophecies depicting the humble and obedient Servant who bears all our sorrows and weaknesses. It was His love for you that enabled Him to get back up again and make His way to Calvary. This Lent, let’s reflect on how we have burdened Him with our sins and the times we have knowingly continued in sin, disregarding the gravity of our actions and the voice of God speaking through our conscience.
