Stellantis Layoffs, Indianapolis 2024 Budget, Vitality Grants, Abortion Care Access

Stellantis, parent company of Jeep and Chrysler, is temporarily laying off more workers across two plants in Kokomo.  The Indianapolis City-County Council approved more than $1.5 billion dollars in spending for 2024 with a unanimous vote Monday.  Federal funds will support work to reach Indianapolis youth with mental health challenges and involvement with the juvenile justice system.  Advocates say confusion around Indiana's near-total abortion ban is hindering access to care even from states where abortion is still legal and accessible Want to go deeper on the stories you hear on WFYI News Now?
