Do you ever create something and think its okay? Only to come back later and think its horrible? Your mind is in a different state when your creatively flowing vs when your tasked with editing. When you edit your judging whether something deserves to be seen, heard or expressed. If you edit too early in the creative process and you wont be able to create anything. This is writers block. Some professionals don't even want to concern themselves with a production after they helped create it. The reason? They can always find something to improve on. Something they regret.
