Stop Trying To Change Others!

from The Coach JV Podcast · host Coach JV | Age of Radio Original

Train with Coach JV @ www.jvimpacts.com Follow Coach JV on IG @jvimpacts_ Follow Warrior JV on IG @jvwarrior444 This type of behavior starts at a very young age in my opinion.  As young kids we are always working to get someone else to do what we want; we tell them this is the character we want them to play in our game.  We become responsible adults and this behavior continues and at a level that has much higher steaks. We get into relationships like: Marriage, Work boss and co worker, and Buisness Partnerships! We like what we see at first, and then once things start to get real, we start the destructive game of working to change the other person to meet our needs and wants. This game is a slippery slope. The truth is you can NOT change another person, and it is not your right nor your resposbility to do so.  So you make it your life's mission to change this person and the batter begins, a battle that I promise you will you not winning. You will get exactly opposite of what you want.  Here is what should really happen!  You should work to change yourself, because the truth is when you are projecting someone else's needs to change, that is a true sign that you are the one with the issues.  What I am saying is you do not have the power to change anyone else, only the power to change yourself.   Changing yourself and your actions is the only way to make it right, and if the other person does not raise up or down to your level of standards then this may not be the right relationship.
