Strandhill Business owners are still unsure about Village Enhancement Project

Some business owners in Strandhill have warned against moving ahead with the controversial Strandhill Enhancement Project. Earlier this week, Councillors voted for the project to proceed, paving the way for a series of changes designed to revitalise the coastal village, including a reduction of car parking at the seafront. Despite council assurances that the changes will benefit tourism and the local environment in the long run, not everyone is convinced. Jane Chambers, owner of Shells Café fears that the loss of parking will discourage visitors and ultimately affect footfall:
