Vinnie Tortorich and co host Andy Schreiber talk strengthening one's lower body, and riding bicycles through sand on today's Wednesday edition of the Angriest Trainer podcast. PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS Pure Vitamin Club ANDY'S WORKOUT Andy is trying to get abs so Vinnie went with Andy to help guide him on the best work outs to get abs Andy wasn't doing any lower body (Vinnie thinks lower body is more important) Working on lower body improves circulation Leg presses, Lunges, Leg curls all good to help one's lower body Use the smith machine -- Andy doesn't need to do free weight squats For lunges, one can use the wall to balance Look down in front of you in the mirror to help your balance Leg presses (12-15 reps) Leg curls and leg extensions aren't important unless you are trying to get "bulgy" ANDY'S FALL When Andy first starting using cleats to ride his bike, he had a fall He lends it to not being accustomed to cleats along with going to fast on a windy, sandy road by the beach Vinnie saw it happen -- he fell in slow motion For Andy, by the time he realized he would fall, it was too late If you think you will slip in sand, look up and keep going
