Thembi Banks is a Harlem born, Los Angeles based filmmaker, storyteller, and host. In part one of two of this episode, we talk about Thembi's award winning films, working with Bad Robot & J.J. Abrams, her experience in USC's MFA program, studying abroad in South Africa, excelling in the NBC Page Program and the world renown Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. She gives insight on work ethic, goal setting, and tells an awesome story about how she climbed the ranks at MTV Networks and Essence Magazine.
