Sweep out the triggers of murmuring and complaining

Summary

Numbers 11:12:15 "Did I conceive all these people? Did I beget them, that You should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a guardian carries a nursing child,’ to the land which You swore to their fathers? Where am I to get meat to give to all these people? For they weep all over me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’ I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me. If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now—...

Episode Description

Numbers 11:12:15  "Did I conceive all these people? Did I beget them, that You should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a guardian carries a nursing child,’ to the land which You swore to their fathers?   Where am I to get meat to give to all these people? For they weep all over me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’   I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me.   If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now—if I have found favor in Your sight—and do not let me see my wretchedness!”

Moses became suicidal because of the demand of the people. The work God had called him to do became much of a burden to heavy for him to bear. He rather desired to death. At this point, Moses considered sudden, immediate death as favour bestowed upon him. He complained to God so much because of the demand of the work of the Lord.

What we often fail to realize is that the burden of Gods given assignment can weigh so heavily on you that you begin to complain about it. Jesus said, take my yoke, and learn of me. He further said, my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Yes, it's easy, it's light but it remains a burden and a yoke that constrains you from actualizing your own desire and fulfilling your will.

Many have complained about their leaders, spouses, colleagues, brethren etc until the people became so frustrated doing God's work. Such a person has the opportunity to repent and ask God for mercy this morning. For those who like Moses have complained about the heaviness of the work of God, this is the time to repent and ask the Lord for help. It is the moment to rise up and sweep out every trigger of murmuring and complain that positions you against the will of God.

This is serious. Be blessed, pray, and without fear share this with anyone in your network that is given to complaining, murmuring and frustrating people out of their God given assignment and responsibility.

God is set to do great and wonderful things in and through our lives. Be ready for it.
