On today’s F.A.CT.S. podcast, host Kevin talks with guest speaker, Ashakee Ledgister, who is a Jamaican Actress, Director and Producer. She was born in Hanover, Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts for Television and Film. After her very first acting class at Hunter college she quickly fell into the acting realm. Ashakee is currently studying the craft with Anthony “A Money” Abeson, one of the best acting coaches in the Tri-state area. She recently booked the lead role in a short film and is currently preparing to start filming a new web-series. When she is not on set, or behind the cameras, Ashakee enjoys relaxing at home watching Netflix. Her favorite tv show of all time is One Tree Hill and her top 3 movies of all time are Training day, Casablanca, and Boyz in the hood. Ashakee also has a passion for philanthropy and plans on using her platform to help the youth back home in Jamaica find their purpose and identify their gifts.
