Take 2: Nationwide Protests & the SF Giants Blockbuster trade
from KTVU Fox 2
KTVU anchors Andre Senior and Gasia Mikaelian are joined on set by Lisa Fernandez to start a discussion regarding the "No Kings" protests across the country over the weekend. An estimated 24,000 people were on hand. Three things that stood out to Lisa during the protests were Anti-Trump, Anti-ICE, and Pro Palestine. According to Lisa, it was a safe environment with no incidents. Our Assignment Editor, Sammy Mamou, is brought in to explain the car crash that happened this morning in San Francisco. That led to a conversation regarding the Oakland PD no-chase policy, and why is CHP allowed to chase suspects. SFPD's policy has a bit more of a broader spectrum allowing them to chase more people than they were before. It's not apples to apples, but it raises plenty of questions for Bay Area citizens. In the final segment, Meteorologist Rosemary Orozco brings us the weather report the next few days. Sammy stays to breakdown the blockbuster trade the San Francisco Giants completed on Sunday, walks us through every factor that sent Rafael Devers to The Bay, and what this means for the team the next few years.
