Take Time To Exercise Spiritually

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Sunday October 4 - "Bodily training is some valve, but godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." (1 Timothy 4:8)  We spend millions of dollars and countless hours these days to exercise our bodies to have the best health we can have, so we can better enjoy living out our daily lives.  But it is so sad that we spend so little time exercising our spiritual lives for the sake of living wholesome lives emotionally, mentally and spiritually!  Many of us don't even know what it means to "exercise" spiritually.  I've been trying to encourage you, and remind myself, that for us to enjoy the reward of freedom, we must practice these spiritual disciplines.  Especially the daily reading and intake of the Bible and spending time in prayer communing with the Lord.  May the Lord help us to "Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress..." (1 Timothy 4:15)  God bless!
