Dr. Danielle Busby is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of Michigan and Texas, and currently offers telehealth psychotherapy services for residents of Michigan. Additionally, Dr. Busby is passionate about “paying it forward,” and loves working with the next generation of mental health providers. Dr. Busby offers clinical supervision services to psychology student trainees in the state of Michigan, with specific expertise in trauma-informed assessment and intervention of children and adolescents, evidence-based clinical practices, and suicide risk assessment and intervention. She is passionate about decreasing barriers to mental health service use for underserved patient populations and is committed to continuously bridging the gap between research and clinical practice. In addition to the clinical services she offers to residents of the state of Michigan, she providers a range of speaking and training services related to mental health and wellness including consultations, presentations, workshops, wellness retreats, and trainings for corporations, schools, and community agencies. Further, Dr. Busby is a co-founder and vice president of professional relations & liaison for Black Mental Wellness, Corp., where she works with a team of change makers (www.blackmentalwellness.com) dedicated to the mental health and wellness of the Black community. CLINICAL INTEREST Adolescent depression Underserved patient populations, including Black youth and families General stress management and wellness practices for youth, families, and adults RESEARCH INTEREST Identification of barriers to mental health service use among youth at elevated risk for suicide Effects of traumatic and environmental stressors on psychological and academic outcomes for adolescents and emerging adults Identification of effective interventions relevant for adolescents and emerging adults at risk for suicide, depression, and/or exposed to traumatic stressors.
