Taverne Tour

Season 3 kicks off with a special episode featuring three artists, Gloin, NO WAVES and Frankie Rose, each at different points in their careers. What unites them is they all performed this past February at Montreal’s Taverne Tour, the annual, eclectic, Plateau-based festival aimed to energize the music scene during the heart of the cold winter. The bands talked about the challenges of being an artist these days, from the difficulties of making money in the streaming economy, to having to brand yourself and the tribulations of being on the road. Host Aviva Lessard also touched base with the festival organizer, Mothland, who also manages artists, runs a label, and promotes live shows.
