Teaching How to Ride a Horse with Feel

from The Centaur

Angelo Telatin's passion for horses began in his childhood in Italy. Because he wasn't allowed to ride as a child, he found other ways to be around horses. Working as a swim instructor and singing in an a cappella choir taught Angelo to rely on kinesthetic learning, timing, voice, and feel—skills that became foundational in his riding and teaching. He began riding at 21 years old. Learning as an adult gave him a unique advantage in understanding how to guide other riders through the same process. His academic journey eventually led him to combine equine training with psychology. Now he is a professor of Equine Science and Management at Delaware Valley University. He is a fellow of the British Horse Society. He shares what he has learned through university teaching, clinics, seminars, and webinars around the world. Www.angelotelatin.com or Instagram @angelotelatin
