Temperatures may remain above normal in Europe

Europe's heatwave looked set to peak yesterday, but temperatures may remain above normal into the middle of next week according to the World Meteorological Organisation. London Fire Brigade declared a major incident due to “a huge surge” in blazes across the capital amid 40°C heat yesterday Rachael Venables is a correspondent with LBC radio and joined from the scene of one of the worst fires yesterday in Wennington.
