Entrevistamos a Matías Huertas, joven corredor palmero convocado con la selección canaria para participar en la carrera por montaña de Chadrexa, que será campeonato de España y, además, segunda prueba de la Copa de España que organiza FEDME. Actualmente Matías, con 17 años recién cumplidos, ha sido campeón de Canarias cadete en línea y KV 2023 y 2024. Además, subcampeón de España en KV 2024. En lo poco que llevamos de 2025 el deportista que milita en el C.D. Hilera ya es Campeón de Canarias de KV por categoría y también en línea, repitiendo doblete como ya hizo años anteriores. Uno de los deportistas, del panorama regional Canario, que seguramente haya empezado más joven a practicar este deporte: con tan sólo 4 años ya tenía claro que este sería su deporte, lo llames Trail running, Sky running, correr por el monte o montaña, Matías, aunque muy joven, lo tiene claro y no cambia este deporte por ningún otro. Esta es su pasión y nos explica cómo lo practica y lo vive.
