Guest: Monica AbbottOur guest on today's episode is one of the most decorated Lady Vols athletes of all time. She threw an amazing 23 no-hitters and six perfect games during her Tennessee career. Through four seasons at Tennessee, she posted 112 shutouts, 2,440 strikeouts and 125 games with 10 or more strikeouts. She also became the first pitcher in NCAA Division I history to record 500 strikeouts in four different seasons. She went on to have a stellar pro career with x6 Japanese League Championships, x5 NPF League Championships, and she’s a x2 Olympic Silver medalist. She just recently retired, and she’s written a book about her career. It’s called Rise and Shine, and it is available now. We talk a lot about that in the interview.We also talk about her time at Tennessee, and she gives some great tips for young athletes that love to play softball or baseball.
