from The Atlantic Files · host Alex Fischbein and Mike Bash
Mike Bash and Alex Fischbein are joined by Wahaj Mallick of the Back to the Basket Podcast. Not only do the guys take a look around the Southwest Division and make some predictions, but some Atlantic Division news came across the wire as well. Jimmy Butler requested a trade to get out of Minnesota. Two out of the three teams he named on his "wish list" happen to be in the Atlantic Division. Mike talks about the prospect of Butler joining the Nets, and what it may take to get him there. Elton Brand is the new General Manager of the Philadelphia 76ers. They said they wanted some people with experience before, so it looks like one year as a G-League GM is enough experience for them. Alex gives all of his thoughts on the hire. Then, there is the meat of the episode this week. All of the guys agree that the Houston Rockets are retaining their first place spot, but what happens underneath them is the interesting part. The San Antonio Spurs look to improve upon last year now that they have an All-Star who will actually play for the team. Can New Orleans do enough damage in the West to keep Anthony Davis, and how will Dallas send off Dirk Nowitzki? Hear all of this on this week's episode of The Atlantic Files!
