When Jesus emerges from the baptismal waters, God’s voice booms across the cosmos saying, “This is my son, my beloved, in whom I’m well pleased.” This single statement is one of the deepest, most spiritual claims in all the Bible and it propels Jesus’ ministry far and wide.
