The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. At the conclusion of 2020, our Bay Area Scholar informed us that he'd have three roommates for the upcoming academic year. Possibly three White roommates. We discussed the importance of having a code, taking Covid-19 seriously, and expecting his roommates to be a problem. Like many whippersnappers, he did grasp the danger of his situation. 7 months later, his housemates have ditched safety protocols, hosted strangers, and contracted an illness that may be Covid-19. We're days from the start of the new academic year, and a number of colleges and universities will welcome throngs of students back to campus. Attempted parents should have a serious conversation with the new crop of freshmen.
