This Sunday is Transfiguration Sunday where Pastor Megan and Pastor Erik discuss Luke 9:28-35. After seeing so much of Jesus’ humanity in the way he loves and cares for others, we get a reminder of Jesus’ holiness and power. Peter, John, and James want to respond by staying right where they are. This is obviously not the point of the story. God calls them to go back out into the world. We often want answers, clear directions, and our expectations met when we follow Jesus. Instead, we often get mystery, redirection, and struggle. But we are still invited to listen to him.
