In 1950s Cairo, a shocking crime unfolded involving a baby girl named Amal, who was born with six fingers on each hand. She disappeared from her mother, Khayriya, a market vendor, prompting a police investigation. Authorities traced the case to Hindia, a recently divorced woman who reappeared with a baby, leading her ex-husband, Reda, to believe it was their child. Hindia had orchestrated the kidnapping to win back Reda. Tragically, Hindia convinced Reda to amputate the baby’s extra fingers to hide the child’s unique feature. Amal succumbed to her injuries ten days later.
