The Child of God, by H. Forbes Witherby, Chapter 8

from Down to Earth But Heavenly Minded · host Irving Risch

Some scriptures have brought me joy in knowing I have so much to look forward to even though I am in my eighties. For example, 1 John 3:2-3, Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.  In 1 Peter 1:4-5, we have an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Just from these few verses, I am so joyful that God has something so wonderful planned for me; how can I not look forward to all this.  If you are a Christian, a true Born-Again Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and no matter what age you are, you have the same things waiting for you; this is why I have decided to republish this book entitled "The Child of God," by H.
