What motivates and inspires them and what they've learnt along the way.Born in Hokes Bluff, Alabama, Drake White grew up singing in the choir at his local church. He was given a guitar at the age of 14 from a neighbour and began writing songs and continued to do so while attending college and then university. After earning a degree in building science, he took a job with a general contractor in Nashville, working by day and playing the songwriter rounds at night. His mix of country, blues, funk, rock 'n' roll and reggae caught the attention of producer Jeremy Stover and this led to a record deal with MCA Nashville.
