The County has just shut down the bridge that carries Jacks Run Road over I-279 between Bellevue Road and Kane Lane in Ross. That's after an inspection found corroded steel within the bridge's only pier. Allegheny County says it's closing the bridge until further notice out of an abundance of caution. About 46-hundred vehicles use the bridge each day. It was built in 1986.
