The Democrats pushing redistricting lies; calling it Jim Crow 2.0
from The Tara Show
The Tara Show exposes what it describes as a desperate Democratic propaganda campaign following a landmark Supreme Court redistricting ruling. In Hour 2, Segment 1 of the May 18, 2026, broadcast, host Tara Servatius breaks down the national battle over redrawing congressional maps, focusing heavily on Republican efforts to eliminate the "Democratic stronghold" in Rep. Jim Clyburn’s South Carolina district. The segment forcefully counters narratives from prominent Democrats—such as Gavin Newsom and Jim Clyburn—who have publicly condemned the new GOP-led state maps as "Jim Crow 2.0," a phrase the show frames as a complete lie designed to manipulate voters and stall constitutional updates. Tara argues that this racially charged language is merely an alarmist tactic from a panicked left trying to protect race-based gerrymandering and maintain their dwindling hold on Southern congressional seats. Ultimately, the host positions the redistricting push not as voter suppression, but as a necessary correction to establish a clean sweep of U.S. House seats for conservatives.
What this episode covers
00:00 The way that Democrats are firing up their sheeple with lies about this redistricting lead do not be surprised when the next round of violence occurs either toward the Supreme Court um or toward the Trump administration. Or maybe here in the States on a state level. Absolutely, because it is spinning out of control over the weekend. They were all in the talking point of Jim Crow 2.0. m And they're also doing this other thing. 00:29 this big lie that this we need Supreme Court reform because the Supreme Court helped, this is how ridiculous this is, helped Republicans cheat. Cheat. Now when you look back at this, the fact that we have been drawing these districts since 1986, thanks to an activist liberal court, um and if you live in one of them, your voting rights were completely stripped from you. 00:57 and a district was drawn to elect not just a black person to guarantee an outcome, which is the most unconstitutional thing ever, but to also guarantee that that person 100 % of the time would be a black Democrat. Okay, we live in an era where a record breaking number of black men vote Republican, 20%. They were stripped of their rights as well because the theory here by the court and the drawers is that 01:26 Black people can only be fairly represented by a Democrat. And these districts, 100 % of the time, no exceptions, have never, Lee, think about this, never elected a Republican, ever. 01:40 and you live in one of them, your voting rights are gone. If you want them back, you have to move out. And so the Supreme Court simply said, you cannot draw districts based on race. That disenfranchises Americans. And so Democrats are trying to confuse their sheeple. Oh, this is racist. And they make sure that black people can't win. I mean, here's Justin Pearson over the weekend. 02:10 We are here because of white supremacists! 02:15 He could silence us. Silence you? took the rights, an activist liberal court took the rights away from anybody who didn't want to vote Republican or was the, you didn't want to vote Democrat or was the wrong color. Here's representative Joyce Beatty. I this was everywhere this weekend. But we know that this is a racist Supreme Court. We know that the president of the United States is afraid. 02:42 that we're going to take back the majority. So we're not being naive. We know he's going to come after us with every illegal, unlawful thing that he can do. I honor president. have to just tell the truth. There are people in this hostile anti-black administration that would rather black Americans pick cotton than pick the president, then pick their congressperson, then pick a senator. Again. 03:12 The absurdity of this, Lee, we've elected a black president twice. Two times. And here in the state of Jim Crow 2.0 South Carolina, which is what Barack Obama called it this weekend, know, the Jim Crow South is back. I mean, I'm sorry, 50 % of our representation in the Senate is black. It's Tim Scott. Can I point out one thing about the South Carolina GOP? There was a black uh state executive committeeman for years, Glenn McCall. 03:41 who died not too long ago. was an executive with Bank of America, but lived in the Rock Hill area. And the people of the party, of Republican Party, the county, voted for him numerous times. That's one of the top leadership positions in the state Republican Party. I mean, in this idea, we need special districts, or no one in Jim Crow's house is gonna get elected to, that was a representative, wait, Tim Scott did. Yes. Before he was Senator. So we're done. 04:11 Here, this is ridiculous. And by the way, some of these districts have white Democrats representing them. And the way they're lying right now, I'm telling you, it's gonna get people killed. It's gonna get people hurt, get people killed. And they're painting this picture of, know, we are the victims here. Here's the problem with calling this the Jim Crow South, okay? 04:38 and Jim Crow 2.0 al ...
