To hear Mike Rowe tell it, the fame he’s built from years of producing “Dirty Jobs” on the Discovery Channel and lots of other smart-allecky shows, podcasts and books all grew out of the respect for work he learned from his grandfather in Baltimore County, and from his parents Peggy and John. Out of that upbringing also grew a foundation that gives scholarships to young people learning skills.
