The Early Show Cashing In On Charity

from CRUSADE Max · host Mike Church

The family of an English inspiration is charged with cashing in on their father's charity. At the height of Covid, Captain Tom raised money for the National Health System by walking laps at the rose garden in his retirement home. Captain Tom became an internet sensation and raised millions of pounds and because of his popularity, a foundation was established in his name and he wrote a memoir. Two years after his death, the foundation is now closed and under investigation. It is alleged that his daughter used foundation funds to build a sauna at her home and charge the foundation extravagant fees for services in addition to her exorbitant salary. Fiorella exposes the full story of Captain Tom's foundation and she discusses Maltese cuisine on this episode of the Early Show.
