1. What are the basic unifying beliefs that Christians hold about the end times?2. What are the points of debate (about Secondary issues) among Christians about the end times? 3. How should I respond as a believer to end times doctrine?______________________________________________________1. What are the basic unifying beliefs that Christians hold about the end times?“God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.” Baptist Faith and Message 2000.1 Thessalonians 4:13-1813 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.18 Therefore encourage each other with these words. 2. Amillennial ViewAmillennialists believe the number 1,000 is figurative and that we are currently in the millennium.3. How should I respond as a believer to end times doctrine?
