On this episode of Wherever It Takes Us, we talk about the life and impact of Buddhist Monk Thich Nhat Hanh. Affectionately called the “Father of Mindfulness”, Nhat Hanh (meaning, One Action) devoted his monastic life to helping people. Poet, author, peace activist, spiritual leader, Thich Nhat Hanh’s devotion to awakening consciousness as a means to create peace and joy, as well as, processing grief and suffering, on an individual level and collective global  level is truly inspirational.

The Film: Walk With Me

“Directed by Marc J Francis & Max Pugh, ‘Walk With Me’ is a cinematic and immersive exploration into the world-famous monastery of Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh.

As Benedict Cumberbatch’s meditative voice reads extracts from Thich Nhat Hanh’s early journals, the daily routine and rituals of monks and nuns on a quest to develop a deep sense of presence, slowly unfolds across the four seasons.

With unprecedented access, this visceral film is an insightful rumination on the pursuit of happiness, and what it means to devote one’s life to mindfulness and living in the present moment – a welcome remedy to the stresses of a world in turmoil.”

Explicit Too Much! toomuchunapologeticwomen Welcome to TOO MUCH: A podcast for unapologetic women. We are Heather & Heather (aka Heather Rauh and Heather Rose Walters), two women who have been labeled 'too much' by too many for too long. We are here to embrace that label, and to celebrate anyone else who's been told they need to 'tone it down,' 'be nicer,' or play smaller, in order to make other people more comfortable. On this podcast, we discuss topics across the spectrum as they intersect with feminism (and we believe feminism must be intersectional!) Whoever you are, wherever you're from, if you've ever been made to feel like you're 'too much'? Good for you. We're excited you're here.
