Many today are seeking these answers but not finding them. This is often because they are looking in the wrong places. All the guidance, wisdom, provision, love, forgiveness, hope and peace we seek can be found when we abide in our Creator. Before we can abide in Him, we need to know Him and also what He expects from us. "Abide in Me" was the message Jesus gave to His disciples before He left them. He knew that they would need to be close to Him, by abiding in His Word, if they were to be transformed and in turn transform the world. (John 15)I hope these podcasts open you up to learning about who Jesus was, what he taught and why we should abide in him. All the Bible verses I reference each week are li The Island of Doctor Moreau H. G. Wells Philosophical, strange, and a little grotesque, The Island of Doctor Moreau by influential author H. G. Wells is praised as a classic due to its inspiration for many science fiction books and movies alike. H. G. Wells, who is renowned for his debut novel The Time Machine, is known as "the father of science fiction" thanks to his prophetic fiction on alien invasions, time travel, and space exploration. Wells' work habitually finds itself questioning evolution and religion, while stretching our imagination of a futuristic society. The Island of Doctor Moreau follows Edward Prendick, a shipwrecked scientist who is saved by a man named Montgomery and taken aboard his ship. Here, Prendick is introduced to a grotesque, bestial servant named M'ling and several other animals that belong to Montgomery who are on their way to an unnamed island where Montgomery works. Once arrived, Prendick is not allowed to enter the island, but the natives take pity on him and introduce him to Doctor Moreau, a Navigating The Wilderness | Hearing God’s Voice in a Hard Season Nicole Delaney Welcome to the Navigating the Wilderness Podcast! My name is Nicole Delaney and I feel blessed to be on this journey with you. The wilderness is often a place where we feel alone but it’s a place where God not only meets us but He transforms the way we see Him and He reveals more of our identity in Him. It’s a time when we can see aspects of the Lord that we normally wouldn’t recognize. It can be a painful time but it can also be a beautiful time. We will discuss some of these things on this podcast and how to recognize God’s voice amid a hard season. I don’t have all the answers but I hope I can help you feel less alone and share insights I’ve gleaned along the way. We’ll also share the stories of others who have traveled this path with the Lord and how God met them. I pray that you are encouraged and strengthened on your journey.Love and blessings,Nicole
