The History of the Bible

God's Word is eternal, true, and unchanging, and the Bible is God's complete revelation to humanity. Throughout history the Bible has faced strong opposition, with many believers suffering persecution or death for translating and publishing it. The New Testament began with the apostles preaching Jesus using the Old Testament, and how the Gospels and epistles were later written to record that message. The lesson is meant to give a basic history of the Scriptures and emphasize the importance and authority of the Bible.
