Episode Description
Building things right is hard. Building things right the first time is harder. Good design practices can make or break a project, especially when multiple team members have to stitch together different parts into a complete solution. In this talk, Nate Jensen will share some of the mindsets, skills, and tools that engineers everywhere from UNL to NASA use to make sure a project achieves liftoff.
Nate is a graduate student at UNL, and a longtime member of the UNL Aerospace Club. On internships at NASA Ames Research Center and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he worked on a variety of projects including analysis of tests for the upcoming Mars Helicopter mission and creating a control system for a robotic arm to be used in Earth orbit.
The talk took place in the Nebraska Union on Feb. 21, 2019.
