Engineer Alaa, a hardworking man who provided a respectable life for his loved ones, was vacationing with his family when disaster struck. Ibrahim Sobhi, a 23-year-old drug addict who had failed in various jobs and was desperate for quick money, decided to rob a vacation chalet. His plan spiraled into violence: he brutally murdered Alaa’s six-year-old son, Youssef, on the boy’s birthday, and severely injured the family’s assistant, Rasha. The incident drew harsh criticism of the resort’s security for their absence during the attack.
