Classic films often inspire sequels to spawn a franchise but sometimes a classic film inspires one but it takes a little longer creating what we call LEGACY SEQUELS.   Released in 1986, ALIENS Written and directed by James Cameron is widely regarded as one of the greatest SCI-Fi Sequels of All-Time! The sequel follows Nostromo survivor Ellen Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver as she follows a band of Colonial Space Marines to a colony on the planet from the original classic ALIEN. The film is vastly different from the original in tone and intensity. It is more of an Action Movie Roller Coaster than the original haunted house in space design of ALIEN.
