The Jedi Praxeum The New Jedi Order Vector Prime

from Arkinnea Jedi Templar · host Michael Hannigan

. The Jedi Praxeum The time has finally come to take on my most difficult podcast project. I am about to start recording the lessons learned from the legendary Extended Universe books The New Jedi Order series. The New Jedi Order series contained 19 novels, 2 ebooks and a handful of short stories and lasted for 4 years. The books were released every few months between 1999 to 2003. In star wars time the books ran from 21 to 25 years after the return of the Jedi. At this point in time the Jedi were around for about 14 years under Luke Skywalker with the Jedi Praxeum located on Yarvin 4. With the Jedi being in their infant stage training was fairly basic and upon competition the new knight would declare their mission and go out into the galaxy. Calling these phase of the Jedi an order would be using the term very generously as there was no real rank or structure to the organization. Now in the real world the Jedi community was also at its infancy stage as it was barely around online for maybe 3 or 4 years on yahoo and a few forums. As each book was released life lessons were taken from the books and doctrine for what we now call Jedi Realism or Jediism became established. As I go through this series I will be discussing passages, quotes and lessons taken from the books, as well as discussing community history and how these books actually helped to save my life as my road to recovery started in February of 2003. In truth I read many of these books in the first 2 months of my recovery. For one reason I read them since I enjoyed star wars, the next reason was because if I could keep my mind focused on something I could block out the cravings and craziness associated with drug withdrawal and finally because I believed these books had many lessons that applied both to my chosen life path but also to my recovery. Many people who leave active addiction find their answers in the big book and religion such as Christianity. I found my path to redemption in rejoining the Jedi community, working on sobriety and unknowingly helping to lay down the roots of Jedi Realism as we know it today. I am hoping to get through this series in 18 months but honestly I am expecting it to take up to 2 years with weekly episodes. The Saint Entertainment Radio The Saint was a radio adventure program in the United States that featured a character ("a swashbuckling, devil-may-care Robin Hood type who, in his attempt to help people, remained just one step ahead of the police and crooks—both of whom he combatted") created by author Leslie Charteris. As the program's introduction said, The Saint (the alias of Simon Templar), was "known to millions from books, magazines, and motion pictures." Several versions of the program appeared on different networks. Tank Riot Tank Riot Tank Riot is a never dull audio podcast that digs deep into the minds of Viktor, Sputnik, and Tor.
