The Least Will be the Greatest

from Christians in the Gritty · host Christina and Melissia

Send us Fan MailChristians. Sisters. Best Friends. God often uses the unlikely people to do his will. Those who are considered less in society and in a worldly sense. These are often the people that God rises up to do great things! In the Bible, God uses prostitutes, the sick, the poor, and woman! He uses those the world sees are less than. God takes them and shows them their worth, lets them know that they are loved and saves them out of their situation. Those who humble themselves and become like children, these will be the greatest in heaven. Jesus did not come for the healthy, he came for the sick. He came to rescue us from ourselves really. If Jesus would have come to this world and sought out the leaders to help him finish his work, his ministry would not have been able to blossom in the way that it did. GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭CSB‬‬“At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “So who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a small child and had him stand among them. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child — this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬-‭20‬ ‭CSB‬‬““Don’t think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will pass away from the law until all things are accomplished. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.”‭‭Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭CSB‬‬“Afterward he was traveling from one town and village to another, preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary, called Magdalene (seven demons had come out of her); Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who were supporting them from their possessions.”Mentioned in this episode:https://bibleproject.com/playlists/the-least-and-greatest-in-the-kingdomFind us:https://christiansinthegritty.buzzsprout.comOur Facebook PageTikTok: christiansinthegrittyInstagram: christians.in.gritty.podcastChristians in The GrittyFind us:https://christiansinthegritty.buzzsprout.comOur Facebook PageTikTok: christiansinthegrittyInstagram: christians.in.gritty.podcast
