Beginning a new series from the Gospel of John, we see a very common response to Jesus that still exists today.  The religious leaders of the day simply want Jesus gone and their primary claim was because He was a “deceiver”.  In doing so, they dismissed Jesus and attempted to convince others of the same!  The challenge for us right now today is:  Do we also try to get people to see our side of who God is vs. scripture’s commandments; and in turn reject Jesus as the Savior we truly need?  The fact we must grapple with is that our sin must be accounted for - and for humanity today the blood stained cross IS our testimony, and it must be shared and rejoiced over that truly ... IT IS FINISHED!
