The Lord Jesus warned us that we will be hated and persecuted for His name's sake. Those who persecute us will think they are doing something noble and good. There are times when we must willingly choose to sacrifice for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Some may give up earthly gain. Some may give up earthly relationships. Some may take on hardships in order to fulfill an assignment given to them by the Lord. Some may place their lives at risk in order to serve Jesus. Some may take on great responsibility in order to advance Kingdom work. There are all kinds of sacrifices that we may be moved or led or called up to make for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As believers we not only have the privilege and right to use His name but we are also called to bear His name. We see in the New Testament Church that Paul, a spiritual leader rebuked, corrected and admonished in the name of the Lord Jesus, those believers over whom He had spiritual responsibility.
