Our co-hosts discuss the "Mindy Kaling Effect" on YA shows such as Never Have I Ever, and how this effect comes off onto these shows' young audience (along with some personal rants, childhood memories, and random thoughts)! Just as a disclaimer, we are viewing the "Mindy Kaling Effect" through it's effect on POC teens such as ourselves. As we are not South Asian (much like many Mindy Kaling characters such as in NHIE), we did not want to look through it through a lens in order to be mindful and respectful of our position here.
