In 2020, Sandra became pregnant and believed the baby was Farwell’s. She named the child Anaya Grace and prepared a nursery, clinging to hope he’d accept them. But Farwell distanced himself, mocked her, and escalated control. On February 1, 2021, he visited her apartment. Thirty minutes later, she was dead. Her body was found days later with signs of strangulation—yet authorities ruled it suicide. Evidence—over 35,000 texts and journal entries—was hidden until the FBI stepped in. In 2024, Farwell was charged with Sandra’s murder. DNA showed he wasn’t the baby’s father, making his actions even more horrifying. Three officers, including Farwell’s twin and former Deputy Chief Devine, were found to have had sexual relationships with Sandra. The same officers also had roles in the controversial Karen Read case—exposing deeper systemic failures.
