The Pat & Aaron Show begins by discussing Baker Mayfield's signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and that this team is trying to compete. Aaron Jacobson says this is the worst division in football, and Pat Donovan says that he is going to have to earn his spot. Aaron goes on to explain that Baker Mayfield has had a good year in the past, and that it has been more success than Kyle Trask.The show continues on, as Pat Donovan explains that Baker Mayfield signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is really the last chance at being a starter in the NFL, because he could turn into Jameis WInston where he is a back-up for the rest of his career. Pat Donovan says he has a chance to have a season like Geno Smith did, and that we could learn a lot about Kyle Trask if he beats out Baker Mayfield. Then the hour ends with Today's Top Headlines! The 7:00 AM hour begins with a discussion about Jason Licht as he has done a great job figuring out how to retain Jamel Dean, Lavonte David, Anthony Nelson and Aaron Stinnie, as well as signing competition for Kyle Trask in the form of Baker Mayfield! Then the guys talked about Ezekial Elliot potentially signing with the Bucs, and what could that mean? The 8:00 AM discussion talked about the World Baseball Classic, and the debate if they should have it or not. The guys also talked about Lavonte David remaining with the Bucs this year means he’ll almost certainly retire as a Buc, and the Bucs will have much more money to play next offseason if he wants to keep playing.
