That some of his peers only preach Jesus out of rivalry with Paul. 1:15 & 17c. That his own execution is a real possibility 1:20 & 2:17d. That he has endured different forms of suffering 1:30 & 3:7e. He has endured the near death of a close friend 2:25-29f. He has left behind his former life of prestige 3:4-6g. That loved ones have abandoned their faith to satiate their worldly appetites 3:18-19h. And that he has been dealing with two friends bickering at one another 4:2I.
