Send us Fan MailThe Power WithinWhen we stay rooted and grounded in love , we discover our power. It’s a power that allows us to do more than we’ve asked. It’s a power that allows us to do more than we’ve imagined asking. Well intentioned people often get the order wrong. We think it’s our job to produce good fruit, to do good work. So we wear ourselves out trying to do everything we think we are supposed to. And we keep feeling like we are coming up short. Our job is not to produce but to abide in God’s love. Stay connected to the power within us The fruit comes as a natural result. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit...” (John 15:5)John describes it as abiding. Paul describes it as being rooted and grounded. Either way the result is that God in and through us does “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20)I’m Horace McMillon.
