Today, Wednesday October 7 - John Wesley, the great founder of the Methodist Church said, "The devil trembles when the weakest Christian gets on his knees."  The disciples of Jesus never asked Him, to teach them to preach or teach, but they did ask Him to, "teach us to pray as John taught his disciples..." (Luke 11:1) They ask this after they had observed and heard Jesus Himself praying.  Have you ever been in the presence of someone praying and you sensed the very presence of God and a genuine communion taking place between that person and God?  And your first thought is, "Boy, I would like to be able to pray like that!"  I believe every believer has both the privilege and responsibility to pray!  Oswald Chamber's life's verse, that he said was the most influential in preparing him for his ministry, was in Luke 11:13, "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" Please join me today to ask the Father, to give us all, the Spirit of prayer and intercession for our nation and our world!  God bless!
