The Push Before The Pitch Ep 56
from 100 Cups MicroPod · host Jason Elkins
Most people think business development starts when someone asks for a proposal. I think it starts much earlier. In this episode, I share two simple ideas that have been working well in my business lately: what I call "the push" and "the energy transfer." The push is bringing someone a thoughtful idea before they ever ask for it. Not because you're trying to sell them something, but because you know their business well enough to spot an opportunity. The energy transfer is something different. It's the ability to share your excitement about an idea before you ever present the details. Sometimes people don't need more information. They need to feel that you've been thinking about them. If trust already exists, these two approaches can create momentum without pressure and growth without turning the relationship into a transaction.
