Ps Jono Deenik - Bible Text: Genesis 29:1-30 We return this week to our series following the family of Abraham, the family through whom God chose to bless the world. As we have seen this doesn't mean that perfect, far from it. When we left off at the end of last year Jacob was on the run after tricking his farther and brother. God had appeared to Jacob and assured him of His care and blessing. One might expect that Jacob would be a completely new man, that he would turn from his self-sufficiency and rely on God, but that is not what happens and, as we continue we see God still has many lessons to teach Jacob. Lessons that are also helpful for us.
