The Red and Blue Soccer Chat – 3/16/22

Greetings, Reds, Blues, and all other footy fans. It's time for another soccer chat. And boy is there plenty to discuss. Off the pitch there is turmoil and uncertainty for Chelsea Football Club, but on the pitch they remain unfazed as they continue to churn out the results they need in their 2 main competitions. We'll see if their form holds today, or whether outside forces finally turn their heads. United continue to yo-yo with performances, results, and voices from the locker room all doing different things. The interim manager has not found the cure for the various ills plaguing the club, and they may ultimately be too much until his permanent replacement is found and they can overhaul a maligned squad. Finally, the USMNT enters the final 3 games of World Cup Qualifying needing a couple results. With Azteca up first and Weston McKennie ruled out for the remainder of the club season several players will need to step up and be counted to ensure a trip to Qatar. We'll be watching the film and laughing at the pundits as we get set to discuss all of this action.
