I’ve said before that one of my biggest musical influences, period, is Ryan Adams. I suppose I should probably say “was” Ryan Adams. From the time I was 12 until probably 2015 or so, I was an enormous supporter of his music. I had all the albums, some of the books, a lot of the 45s, I even went to his art show at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in 2009. I still have a print of one of this paintings hanging on my wall. But when the New York Times published a Me Too article about him in 2019, I just…stopped listening.
