The Shepherd

Author Frederick Forsyth's novella The Shepherd was published in 1975, and has been read nearly every Christmas Eve by radio host Alan Maitland on the CBC radio show As It Happens since 1979.The Shepherd tells the story of an R.A.F. fighter pilot who encounters trouble while flying over the North Sea on Christmas Eve in the 1950s.
